General Manager - Colleen Sullivan

Colleen Sullivan is General Manager of Port Answer. In this capacity she hires all new employees, manages supervisors and operators, develops employee schedules, programs accounts and provides customer service, monitors computer equipment and co-ordinates general office activities.

Ms. Sullivan focuses on developing a team of supervisors and operators who know how to relate to Physicians and their patients. She instills the importance of detail and consistency to each of her agents. She prides herself on helping to create an environment where her customers know their messages will be accurate, timely and delivered to the right person.

Ms. Sullivan has more than 24 years experience managing people and equipment to deliver services properly to customers. Throughout her career, she focused on organizing and developing systems. She interfaces with computer and equipment vendors to enable her staff to deliver services promptly, accurately and efficiently.

In the early 90’s, she began managing a family answering service business. She managed the scheduling, hiring and training. She learned how to program the accounts. That experience led to interface with equipment suppliers and telephone vendors. Prior to the family business she worked for several firms developing systems for managing accounts receivable and payroll for a 500 employee firm.

After the family firm was sold to a third party, she joined Port Answer in 1994. Initially she was an evening supervisor. Soon, she extended her responsibilities to managing the Answering Service equipment and programming the accounts. She developed a system to consistently present the accounts to operators so the messages were taken correctly for the firm’s clients.
